After going through all the comments you have all kindly made, I want to thank you for them. It is rather encouraging to know that I am make sense to some. Sometimes I doubt myself and need such encouragement to go on.
When I decided to take a chance in this industry, I kept hearing. ‘its not for everyone’ and thought that wasn’t a good advert. You know what? It was very true. What Am I saying? Though you may have all the desire and drive, if its not for you, then……….. However just because this isn’t for you, doesn’t mean something else isn’t. I you find you are struggling to make sales or build a team then go back to the drawing board and re-strategize1
When joining an opportunity, I was told not to quit my job and it is the best advice. Do not put all your eggs in one basket as there is no prediction on how things will turn out and the bills never stop.

I have had a few comments with regards to the helpful information provided. Also there have been questions as to the source of the information and even a request for an accompanying video.
Firstly thanks to all those who have taken the time to come to the website and post comments.
The reason this blog was started was because the ‘experts’ said it was the thing to do. I had no idea what I could blog about as I didn’t feel that I had enough indepth knowledge to write one blog let alone a series. I had subscribed to a few mailing lists of Marketers who claimed to be enjoying success with Internet marketing. Their messages popped up into my mail box at least three times a week and they imparted what they had learned from the experts, encouraged and at times had some product they were promoting.
One such mail stuck in my mind. She wrote that 18 months prior, she did not have a clue and their she was at the point of writing these regular emails, owned a website, managed a blog, met some of the experts in the industry, attended some big events and enjoyed regular payments in her bank account. I spent a few days thinking about that mail. I couldn’t understand what she could find to write about .
Eventually, it came to me that there were people joining this industry daily. I had read so many success stories but couldn’t be sure if they were the actual truth or extended versions. so, I decided to put out my personal experience and if I came across good purchases, I would let you know about it too.
It is all my personal experience and nothing more.
Till next time, here’s
to our success.

Going into this industry for me was to make money and fast after being made redundant. I discovered that things don’t work that way. There is no such thing as a ‘get rich quick scheme.’
I joined business opportunities and then realised that this industry is not a one man business and you NEED PEOPLE!
In order to join an opportunity, you need money. In order to advertise, you need money. It kind of defeats the object as the primary reason why people go into this is to make money. What can you do but follow the rules.
After joining my primary opportunity, I had spent what I had on enrolling. I though the money would come flooding in. No.
You see, as a dear friend told me, ‘its a numbers game.’
Anyway, after a lot of research and listening to others, it dawned on me that I needed to advertise what I had to offer.
For people on a budget, it is not easy and you have to be smart. I, like many others learnt the hard way.
There are so many sites that even if you are willing to pay have many rules about what you can and cannot advertise. On one occasion, I tried to advertise on an a network marketing site. I was told that the link kept getting bounced back and i was refunded my money. Also was the time I had to re-word my advert on facebook about five times before it was accepted.
I heard about safelists and during my research into this, I came across free advertising on the
Internet and since then, I taken to advertising on these sites like a hobby.
I had a call back from a company that invited people to advertise for free. There was a fee paying upgrade if you want more. The officer tried to upgrade. She explained there was reason attached to the free aspect . The free adverts were ranked very low and would probably not get seen. No I didn’t upgrade. Purely because I couldn’t afford to.
Then by chance, I discovered sites where you could receive credits by looking at other adverts and use them to purchase solo, text and /or banner adverts. Or you could make cash purchases of the same. I couldn’t afford paid advertising so I opted for credits by reading other adverts sent to me. http://Touch.STIFORPMovie.com is advertised this way.

In this industry, you need people to succeed. Once you run out of your warm market i.e family and friends you will need to extend your products/services & opportunities to the cold market-strangers.
It can be quite tiresome trying to convince or persuade a novice to join my business. I have to start at the very beginning, and after explaining they either don’t get it or have to ask permission from their decision maker. This industry is not for those who need to ‘think about it.’
When it comes to the cold market , as I have said before, there are many methods including approaching strangers in the street. However these methods can deflate ones enthusiasm with repeated knock backs and and refusals. In as much as one needs to be confident and be prepared, as human beings we all have feelings and rejection can be hard to take.
I have learnt that there are already people out there who are looking to become part of this industry or are already here looking for other Opportunities to take up. Therefore, it is better to look for people who are looking for you.
The world stage is the Internet. I am amazed at the number of opportunities that around at this time. Though I am not a part of them, I have been tempted to join a few that seem promising. I can see the power of advertising to like minds.
One of the opportunities I am involved in, http://Touch.STIFORPMovie.com is currently going out to thousands via the net through text, solo and banner advertising. Take a look and see.
To our success…….

A few month ago, I was sourcing new enrollees for my primary business at an event. Two ladies came by and asked what the opportunity was. After naming the company, they said they were already involved in one opportunity and had decided to be loyal to that company. I found it strange but have come across the same subject of loyalty from the other side i.e the company. I can understand why a company would want their rep’s total loyalty.
I have since thought about the subject in depth. Though loyalty is a good quality, it also needs to be well placed. I therefore place my loyalty first and foremost with myself.
Being a rep in any company does not guarantee any payments except there is some sort of activity in the team/downline. What if the company has problems and operations shut down with or without warning- I have heard of this. Where does that leave the rep? Bills still need to be paid. Is it at that stage that the rep starts looking for an alternative?
Don’t misunderstand me, I don’t believe in being a ‘Jack of all trades & master of none.’ However, remember that the path to financial freedom is MULTIPLE STREAMS OF INCOME.
I was advised not to quit my job when I started in this industry as it could take time to earn a steady income. Over a year later, I totally agree with that piece of advice. No matter how committed, driven and hard working you are, the one thing in your business you can control is yourself and the one thing you need is people. A company dear to me launched in September 2012. Prior to that they had well over five thousand pre-enrolled reps who had expressed an interest in the business. When it was time to upgrade and pay the fee, I believe they were left with under one thousand reps. I was left with just 5 out of 135 that had pre-enrolled in my team.
I didnt quit my job, I
was made redundant. Yes I have had some success but nowhere near what I am striving for. As far as loyalty goes, I have a primary business opportunity and another that helps promote my first one and generates another stream of income. http://Touch.MyBusinessBuilderPlus.com

Happy New Year to everyone out there. If you are reading this, then a big welcome to the year 2013. By now, you would have made your resolutions for the year or are you still trying to decide.
Mine is the same as last year~simply make more money.
Really though, it’s not that simple. When I decided to venture into this industry, there were many things I didn’t know. All the stories of success were just that, the success part. Nobody went into the hard work that was required for them to receive the big cheques. I genuinely believed that I would have immediate success and be laughing all the way to the bank in a short space of time. WRONG! As with most things, a lot of hard work is required and the most valuable lesson I have learnt to date is that you have to keep at it.
The thing is, in this industry, people don’t fail , they QUIT. If you keep at it , you will SUCCEED.
Recently, I read a post of an acquaintance in the industry. He wrote that he was one of the foundling reps in a business opportunity many years ago. The company was then new to the UK and had it’s fair share of teething problems and as a result, things didn’t go as smoothly as they could have immediately. Anyway, for one reason or the other, he left the opportunity. The company went on to enrol many reps and are still going strong doing great business. Ever heard of Amway?
The point is, better the devil you know. Just because a new
opportunity is having teething problems is not an indication to jump ship. You never know what you are throwing away.
Looking to increase the frequency of the blogs, so, watch this space

Another Xmas Over, what next? Though it is the holiday season, business never stops for a lot of us. It is the perfect time to plan what you want to do in the next year. If what you have done in the last year has not taken you to the success you desire or you have not begun to see a glimpse of any success, then my friend, it is time for change. You cannot afford to continue in the same direction if the results are going to be the same- NOTHING.
Just because a system you have been using hasn’t been successful doesn’t mean you are a failure or that you can’t work the business. Maybe you are misunderstanding or missing something. Remember, Rome was not built in a day. Take time out, step back and look at what you are doing again. Most times than not, you will spot where you are going wrong. What you discover on your own tends to stick with you for a long time.
In business for yourself, you don’t necessarily have to do everything yourself. I spent a long time trying to master all aspects of advertising, SEO, lead generation, capture pages, landing pages etc What happened was that I managed to confuse myself further. What I have since discovered is that I need to know where I want to go and what I need to get me there. The rest is a finger tip away on the Internet. Be careful though as the same product or service may differ in price and may sometimes may even be free.
As I said, I wasted time trying to master landing and capture pages. Recently a fellow business person brought my attention to what I considered to be a brilliant find. A business system that would help me build any home based business whilst earning an additional income. If I only managed to add 2 people to my team and they did same and so on, then £2000 per month is a potential. Now that that may not seem a lot of money to some but it will cover advertising costs at the very least. My point is, I wasn’t looking for another business opportunity but I was looking for those tools that I have seen on many sites to help me promote my primary business. Without the additional income, just to be able to use the tools to take my business to another level, it is a steal at about $9 per month. Equally amazing is that if you are just starting out and are contemplating which business Opportunity to join, this is a great one as you will be needing these tools sooner or later!

Network Marketing, MLM, Relationship marketing or whatever you choose to call it has changed in many ways. The idea was to sell products/services through word of mouth to family and friends. As there is a limit to the number of friends and family one has, does it mean that once you have exhausted your list the business dies? Absolutely not! Those friends and family are what is known as your ‘warm market’ and once you are done with that market and you want to continue, you will need to look to your ‘cold market’. This market consists of people you don’t know personally, the man at the bus stop, the mum in the shopping mall etc
Some people still belive in giving out flyers at the shopping mall or train station and most people put those flyers in the bin without so much as a glance. Flyers are put in letter boxes or in shop windows with very little or no effect. It becomes a waste of money you are trying to make. I should know!
Now however, there is a world platform that almost everyone is keyed into these days- THE INTERNET! The internet has given the Network marketing business a whole new meaning. But to be able to reach a required audience, you need to posess basic understanding and tools.
Looking at various websites to get an idea of how it is done, I found that there are different things needed. Initially I felt that I could cut corners by advertising on other sites but everyone has one rule or another. I realised I would need to learn and keedp my eyes opened.
It payed off. I stumbled accross a homebased business that can be used to build your primary business and/or earn you an income at the same time. It is a steal. I urge you to at least take a free tour at http://Touch.STIFORPTour.com

Yesterday I received another comission and though I am not yet where I am going but I believe I am headed in the right direction. Once I decided to be a part of this industry, I realised that Homebased business Opportunities come by almost on a daily basis and I had to make a decision as to the type I was going after. Some people find it very easy to sell and so are comfortable with opportunities that have a lot of sales attached to it. Other people have a big problem with selling and so go after opportunities with minimum sales if any at all.
If you go for sales and cannot sell, then you will be left with a lot of products that you cannot shift under your bed. It may mean that the comissions you receive, have already been spent in purchasing the products. You may be left with a little profit or most probably, you would have spent more that you have earned. Not wise! I speak from experience but put it down to experience.
A few years ago I got involved in a Homebased Business opportunity in a well known company that’s been around for a long time. I was still an employee in a 9 to 5 job and desired additional income. There was sales attached to qualifying on a monthly basis and I soon found that apart from my colleagues, there was no one to offer my products to. I was spending my salary to buy products that I couldnt sell. I couldnt afford to carry on and had to stop. Now a few years later I still have the products in my garage and can’t even give it away. But, this is still the industry for me. However it must be with the right company!
In Business, you have to have a tough skin and cannot afford to dwell on mistakes or bad judgements, for every minute you waste, there is money being made.

I have learnt so much in these past few months. THERE IS certainly NO ROOM FOR SENTIMENT IN BUSINESS. If you decide that you want to go in business for yourself, you have to toughen up. Rome was certainly not built in a day, neither does success in business. You need to make some conscious decisions about yourself. If normally a quiet and shy person, you will need to learn to be otherwise. If you can’t become it, then act it when needed.
Another thing I have learnt is not to cry over spilled milk. Once you make a decision, stick with it. If for some reason it does not work out, don’t look back and start thinking ‘if only.’ You WILL make mistakes so it is very important to be careful before committing to anything and if you and it doesn’t work out, go back to the drawing board.
2012 has been a great year in some respect. There have been quite a few Home based business Opportunities to hit the Industry. Some good and some that were just too good to be true because they were. A few people got their fingers burnt but, some quit and some learnt from trying to run before they could crawl.
Just to say, this Industry/business is not for everyone. If you are serious about being a part of it though, you need to develop a tough skin!
